Hala Sioufi

Hala's interest in beauty and massage therapies developed during her upbringing in Southern Spain. She is a graduate of the University of Westminster, London where she studied Health Sciences, specialising in Homeopathy.

Today she is kept busy by her complementary therapy clinic in Marbella, Spain (and of course as a therapist on CHRYSALIS HEALTH retreats!). Hala brings to the Chrysalis team not only her mastery of various massage techniques but also great day-to-day support for clients through her vigour for life and approachable nature. She also shares a special bond with Amanda, the founder and director of Chrysalis, as Hala was the therapist present at the birth of Amanda’s little girl!

"I can testify that Hala stays calm in any situation! But seriously, Hala is not only a great friend but I am continually in awe of her insight and empathy with our clients. She is a very gifted person." - Amanda, founder and director, CHRYSALIS HEALTH.

Additional

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) – a form of massage which is particularly beneficial when detoxing! MLD is a gentle, rhythmic technique which stimulates the movement of lymphatic fluids in order to assist the body in cleansing. It cleanses the connective tissue of inflammatory materials and toxins, enhances the immune system, reduces pain and lowers the activity of the sympathetic nervous system.

Full Body Massage – a complete body massage, working on tired over-worked muscles. This is a ‘deep tissue’ rub and is a great way to stimulate circulation in tissues.

Homoeopathy – a system of healing which is based on harnessing the body’s own natural healing facilities and activating to help the body mend its particular illness. It is a system which is based on a “like cures like” methodology, recognising that substances that produce symptoms of a particular illness in a healthy body also are the key to generating a healing process in an unhealthy body with the same symptoms.

Aromatherapy – a massage employed with the use of essential oils (derived from plants) which have been carefully selected based upon which extracts best relate to a person’s condition or state.

Indian Head Massage – a massage of the head, face and neck.

Reflexology – is a form of therapy which stimulates nerve endings in one or both feet which correlate to particular organs or parts of the body.

Facial Treatment – a facial using handcrafted, all-natural products, employing the use of fruit based lotions, oat flake and citrus masks, combined with a massage of the face, head and neck with appropriate essential oils.
